Scala Developer

Job Title: Scala Developer Location: New York, NY (Onsite) This role is for a contract-to-hire position. We're seeking candidates who are open to conversion within six months with no restrictions. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Scala and related technologies • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices • Implement unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and reliability • Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues in a timely manner • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Scala development Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Proven experience as a Scala Developer or similar role • Strong proficiency in Scala programming language and functional programming concepts • Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or other Scala frameworks • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture • Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with stakeholders
