Genesis10 is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a contract with our client in Minneapolis, MN. 80% Remote. Job Description: Partners with IT and business unit (BU) stakeholders to research, analyze, assess, and document business and systems needs to resolve business systems issues by recommending solutions that meet stakeholders needs. Acts as strategic partner with the BU and helps guide them on matters of industry, best practice business, and technology strategy. Provides consistency in IT analysis and development for strategic/transformational initiatives affiliated with the primary back-office application vendor provider, Client, with impact across multiple business units (cross-enterprise) and medium to high organizational risk. Critical resource to the detailed system requirements phase; identifies, tracks, and resolves business systems issues. Assesses, researches, analyzes, and documents stakeholder needs, selecting the appropriate information gathering and/or modelling technique to elicit requirements. Recommends business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs, while continuously exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients. Presents solution alternatives along with evaluation criteria and recommendations to business stakeholders, executives, and senior management. Identifies when requirements or design changes require a reassessment of alternatives. Contributes to the successful completion of project objectives for system development, both internal and at Client, within budget, and on time by identifying risks and developing and recommending mitigation strategies. Ensures adequate user/support documentation and training is in place and projects are successfully transitioned to Run-the-Bank (RTB) units. Required Basic Qualifications: Financial industry experience or Informatica MDM Data Experience (SQL for Querying) Business and Technology background Resource will dive deeper on the technology side Very strong communication skills. They also work with the outside vendor, Informatica Provides input to the Project Manager and team regarding the best mix of development, interfacing applications, and third-party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives. Participates in evaluation of third-party vendors and software. Manages detailed aspects of day-to-day operations with third party vendors as needed. Reviews test plans, scenarios, and cases as needed. Participates in quality assurance (QA) triage to resolve issues/defects and identify root causes. Supports post-implementation verification (PIV) as needed. Identifies risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints, and develops and recommends mitigation strategies. Provides consulting services to business partners on new initiatives. Co-ordinates the efforts of resources assigned within the products or programs. Builds and maintains a repository of reusable system documentation. Supports development, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing activities. Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of system requirements and acceptance phases of projects, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates. Effectively communicates, collaborates, and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business unit partners using a variety of techniques. Plans and facilitates small- to large sized project meetings and conducts information gathering sessions. Prepares and delivers presentations to business partners and senior management, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
