Leading Financial Services Firm in Manhattan, New York Long term contract with competitive rate and opportunity for conversion About Our Client A Wealth Management Firm known for its extensive range of financial products and services, including asset management, risk management, and advisory services. Job Description Collaborate closely with user representatives (traders, sales, operations, etc.) to gather and define business requirements, identify potential issues or gaps, and document functional needs. Create detailed functional specifications for IT development teams to ensure accurate system implementation. Develop user test cases, validate results during user acceptance testing, and provide training to Summit end-users; coordinate the go-live process and ensure proper system functionality. Lead project scoping and planning, track progress, identify and manage issues/risks, and facilitate effective communication across teams. Provide functional support and maintenance, resolving day-to-day Summit issues related to booking, pricing, market data, STP, settlement, reporting, and accounting, while monitoring trade workflows and ensuring accurate statements and regulatory reporting. The Successful Applicant At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within the finance industry. Extensive expertise in Summit, with a strong understanding of products traded in Fixed Income, Treasury, and Credit businesses. Proficient in Summit STP services for both Front and Back Office, including cashflows, accounting, operations, and settlement workflows. Strong IT skills, with the ability to review source code, write and execute SQL queries (Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server), and understand scripts in Windows/Unix environments (Bash, Perl, Python). Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to provide effective solutions in complex scenarios, while managing multiple tasks and applications in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with additional technologies like C++, C#, Python, XML, XSLT, and Excel VBA is a plus.
