Position Summary

This position is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the migration of IT systems from on-premises and other cloud environments to Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and Azure. The role is essential in ensuring that all migrations are completed efficiently, securely, and with minimal disruption to business operations. Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure, this position supports the organization on an enterprise level, working closely with IT teams, project managers, and business stakeholders. Effective collaboration is essential to ensure that migrations are aligned with business needs and are executed seamlessly.

Responsibilities

Migration Planning Assess existing on-premises and cloud environments to develop comprehensive migration strategies to O365 and Azure. Create detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments for migration projects. Coordinate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. Migration Execution

Execute migration plans, ensuring that data, applications, and services are transferred securely and efficiently to O365 and Azure. Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions. Perform post-migration validation to ensure all systems and data are functioning correctly in the new environment. User training and support

Provide training to end-users on new systems and tools in O365 and Azure. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post-migration to ensure a smooth user experience. Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference. Other work duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Extensive experience in migrating IT systems from on-premises environments to Microsoft O365 and Azure; Proven experience in cloud-to-cloud migrations, specifically to O365 and Azure; Strong understanding of the Microsoft O365 suite, Azure infrastructure, and related technologies; In-depth knowledge of networking, servers, virtualization, and cybersecurity as they relate to cloud and on-premises environments; Proficiency in using migration tools and scripts, including PowerShell; Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related Microsoft technologies; Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate large-scale IT migration projects. Ability to develop and execute detailed migration plans, timelines, and budgets; Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities during the migration process; Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular updates on migration progress; Ability to train and support end-users during and after migration to ensure a smooth transition. EDUCATION:

Post-secondary diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are highly desirable; Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in IT systems migration; A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Office environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance; May require working outside regular business hours to minimize migration impacts on business operations; Will require travel 50% of time to visit company office locations or data centers throughout North America.
