Job Description Summary Provides expertise and leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and expense-management for specific business units. Preparing operating budgets with and for various departments to support organization's expense management goals. Designing, preparing, and distributing expense reports tracked against budget expectations. Working with various departments to assist with their expense-management strategies and procedures. Working with staff to help them develop their expense-management awareness and budget planning and tracking skills.
Job Description
Establishes financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; and implementing corrective actions. Enforces the organization's financial integrity by monitoring the application of accounting policies and procedures; conducting audits and ensuring compliance with the standards of Sarbanes Oxley Coordinate Annual Physical Inventory counts to ensure accuracy and integrity of the inventory balances; investigate and identify root causes of any variances and implement necessary corrective measures Leads associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and correcting behaviors as needed; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; and adhering to policies and procedures. Sets priorities for outcomes and resources. Provide guidance, direction, and support to Finance team members located across the globe; coordinate with Corporate Financial counterparts to drive standardization and financial integrity in all aspects of the business Monitor budgets and forecasts; provide trend analysis to quickly identify risks and opportunities; communicate results and provide recommendations to the executive leadership team to assist in decision-making Implement measures to empower employees and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Verifies the organization's financial status by reviewing transactions and reports; preparing adjusting opening and closing entries; balancing and reconciling accounts; and auditing checks. Protects organization value by ensuring the confidentiality of financial data All other duties as assigned. Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports by collecting, analyzing, consolidating, and summarizing data and trends; and completing trial balances. Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field Advanced PC skills required (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, Word); Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred. 3+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance; Manufacturing / Automotive Industry preferred 1+ year of experience in Financial Analysis and Reporting
