As a
Medical Equipment Planner , you will play a critical role in supporting the design and execution of healthcare projects by ensuring the effective selection, procurement, and placement of medical equipment. Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, you will deliver comprehensive equipment planning solutions tailored to client needs. This position would be hybrid with ability to work 2-3 days in office in either Dallas, Atlanta or Tampa. Travel expectations would include local/regional and occasional travel to other states depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the medical equipment planning process for healthcare projects, from initial concept through installation. Serve as the primary liaison between design teams, healthcare providers, and manufacturers to ensure equipment meets clinical and operational requirements. Develop and maintain equipment schedules, specifications, and budgets aligned with project goals and regulatory standards. Collaborate with architects and designers to integrate medical equipment requirements into project layouts and documentation. Conduct site assessments and coordinate with contractors to ensure proper utilities, clearances, and installation requirements for medical equipment. Partner with manufacturers and vendors to obtain up-to-date information on medical equipment models, features, and advancements. Support procurement processes, including equipment selection, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations. Oversee installation coordination, ensuring all medical equipment is delivered, installed, and commissioned according to schedule and specifications. Provide expertise on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in medical equipment planning to inform project design and execution. Mentor junior team members in medical equipment planning and project management processes. Commit to professional development expanding knowledge and project experience in more complex areas in healthcare Required Knowledge, Education, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical equipment planning, with a focus on healthcare projects. Strong knowledge of medical equipment systems, utilities coordination, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with medical equipment planning software such as Attainia, Revalize, or Four Tower is a plus.
