About the Role

The Company is in need of a Hospice Executive Director to oversee and manage the daily operations of the hospice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the office operates effectively, planning and organizing tasks and resources to meet strategic goals, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and policies, particularly those related to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid. This role involves providing leadership and support to the hospice team, including coaching, and is pivotal in the interview and selection of potential employees. The Executive Director will also be the primary point of contact for patient care communication with families and physicians, and will be expected to monitor the hospice's census and staffing trends, as well as maintain the departmental budget and financials. Applicants for the Hospice Executive Director position at the company should hold an active in-state RN license and preferably have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role, with a focus on hospice and leadership experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, including experience with profit and loss statements, and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills. The role demands a dedicated individual who can be immediately available during business hours and after hours as needed, to ensure the success of the hospice operations.
