Job DescriptionUnder minimum supervision, plan and perform research, design, development or other manufacturing engineering assignments to develop new methods, tooling, etc. Use some independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Trouble shoot by investigating problems related to production difficulties.
QualificationsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in Manufacturing
• Act as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering
• Create and maintain engineering & manufacturing documentation
• Lead and support projects focused on process improvement, quality control, and lean manufacturing
• Managing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with corporate policies and procedures
• Generate routings
• Investigate labor variances and correct standards as needed
• Lead or support Capital Expenditure Projects
• Respond and implement process change requests as required
• Identify opportunity for productivity improvements related to equipment, methods of manufacturing and workflow enhancements and recommend and implement
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Engineered to Order Manufacturing Experience
• Previous work in an ISO controlled work environment
• Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Understanding of basic engineering principles
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong background in manipulating data for the purpose of statistical analysis
• Team oriented with good communication skills
• High standards for professional conduct and integrity
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience in a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with cost reduction, quality improvement and throughput improvement projects.
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Ability to use Solid Edge.
• Experience with Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001), and Health & Safety (OHSHAS 18001) business management systems. Experience with Haas and Mazak
