We are seeking a polished and hospitable individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess at a prestigious fine dining French restaurant. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication

and organizational skills, a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant, providing a positive first impression and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage the reservation system efficiently, including taking reservations, confirming bookings, and organizing seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, table availability, and any special requests or accommodations needed.
  • Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth seating and dining transitions.
  • Assist in managing the guest waiting list during peak dining hours, prioritizing reservations and walk-in guests appropriately.
  • Monitor dining room activity and anticipate guest needs, proactively addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Provide accurate information about the restaurant, including menus, specials, promotions, and upcoming events.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant team to uphold high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the host/hostess station, organizing menus, and restocking supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy dining periods.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills for managing bookings and guest information.
  • Enthusiasm for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
