Overview:
Nelson Mullins is seeking a litigation paralegal in our Denver office to assist attorneys in a range of state and federal matters. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of litigation experience in a law firm, including case preparation from beginning to end and an understanding of a paralegals role in the litigation life cycle, especially product liability litigation.
A Day in the Life:Performing a broad range of substantive paralegal tasks, youll work directly with attorneys on product liability, premise liability and other complex business disputes in a variety of industries. Youll maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars; electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney; perform online PACER research; and prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions. Other responsibilities will allow you to prepare deposition notices (organize, maintain and prepare deposition materials, exhibits and summaries); track and manage discovery, including document productions; participate in case strategy meetings; and handle routine calls and correspondence to courts, outside attorneys, experts and clients

Youre a technology pro and have no problem learning new software. You utilize your paralegal expertise and keen eye for detail to further teamwork, client services, and efficiency. You are able to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet and Westlaw. You have the ability to travel for trial when needed and flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet business needs. The idea candidate will have a 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate; however, work experience may be substituted for education.

The annual salary range for this position in Denver, Colorado is $58,000 to $87,000 . Please note the final offer amount will be dependent on applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
