About The Role:

As an Office Manager you will lead our internal operations to ensure a comfortable, safe, fun, and efficient operation. You will work closely with the COO, HR, and Finance teams to bring our operations to the next level of growth. You will also have the opportunity to manage a small operations team to support our organization.

What you do
    • Oversee daily office operations, including maintaining supplies, managing vendor relationships, office maintenance, and ensuring a safe and functional workspace.
    • Manage our property and space planning, including seating arrangements and workstations.
    • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
    • Create and coordinate company events, meetings, and team-building activities.
    • Assist the HR team with onboarding new employees, including preparing workstations, coordinating orientation sessions, and managing employee documentation.
    • Support HR initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, training sessions, and performance reviews.
    • Monitor office expenses, budget and purchasing to ensure cost-effective solutions for office needs.
    • Manage facilities-related projects, such as office relocations or renovations.
    • Collaborate with our Japan branch operations team to create a global culture and operations platform.
What we are looking for
    • 5+ years of experience as an office manager at small to mid-sized companies.
    • 2+ years managing a small team. Very organized and able to effectively prioritize with low oversight.
    • Self-starter who is comfortable in small, fast-growing teams.
    • Able to manage and negotiate with a variety of vendors.
    • Someone who enjoys bringing smiles and comfort on the faces of our high-performing team of software and hardware folks.
Nice to have
    • Big plus if you've worked on a new office search and office move (Drivemode is growing!)
    • A plus if you are bilingual English/Japanese, but not a requirement for the role.


$101,000 - $141,000 a year

This is the position's total compensation package including the company's bonus structure. This position also comes with full benefits. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
