- Preparing cost estimates.
- Quickly figure out and fix maintenance problems.
- Testing pipes for leaks.
- Cutting, welding, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance activities to guarantee the optimal functionality and performance of equipment.
- Install, repair and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.
- Installing hot and cold water, sanitation, and drainage.
- Setting up rainwater harvesters and lead soakers.
- Installing central heating systems and domestic fuel-burning appliances using gas, oil, or solid fuel.
- Designing water and heating systems.
- Cutting and joining pipes and fittings.
- Create records of materials used
- Responding to emergency call-outs such as floods or boiler breakdowns.
- Valid plumbing license.
- Own transportation and valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
