Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forwardHDR is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team serving the Nebraska/Iowa Market.Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the needs of our diverse client base including Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Science and Technology, Federal, Industrial, Mission Critical and Commercial clients. We have a team with diverse experience and are actively seeking candidates with experience within one or more of the markets we serve. This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger electrical engineers. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading a team and designing projects from start to finish. This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing staff, and all other team members. They will be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent design solutions for our clients. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Electrical Engineer will also be expected to:•Providing detailed design and coordination of facilities with team member•Preparing construction documents with BIM/CADD platform•Editing and preparing design specification•Reviewing fee estimates, cost opinions, and writing technical document•Performing QA/QC review of construction documents and technical report•Selecting equipment using vendor software and communicate with sales rep•Tracking and meeting design budget•Performing load calculation•Attending and leading design meetings with other team member•Providing construction administration service throughout all phases of construction#LI-MB2QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringPE licenseMinimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experienceMust have a proven successful history of designing lighting and electrical systems for various types of buildings including one or more of the following:healthcare, laboratory facilities, federal, water/wastewater, utility, mission critical, and commercial office facilitiesStrong communication skills, self-motivated and organizedProficiency with Microsoft Office productsWork both independently and with a project teamSome travel will be requiredAn attitude and commitment to our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsBIM/Revit experience is highly recommendedExperience in sustainable design/LEEDExperience in Water/Wastewater projectsLocal candidates are preferredWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
