- Completion of activity on-time and budget while meeting the applicable technical requirements
- Lead a technical group independently
- Develop electrical layouts based on specifications/requirements
- Complies with the engineering playbook and works to optimize its content
- Drives best practices and lessons learned
- Proactively drives leadership sponsored initiatives
- Manages budgets, costs, and schedule inputs for projects assigned
- Makes commitments and keeps them.
- Drives the compliance with design to cost, weight, and manufacture
- Participates in and leads technical reviews
- Hands-on building, fitting, and testing prototypes
- Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
- Available for travel as required
- Communicates clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel, the customer, and vendors as required
- BS Engineering from accredited school required;
- MS Engineering, PE License and/or MBA preferred
- 6 plus years' experience in similar technical role with military and defense applications.
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English
- Able to work independently on a weekly basis
- Competent technical expertise
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with the shop/laboratory and equipment
- Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
- Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint is essential).SAP experience a plus
- Possesses Strong, proven organizational and time management skills.
- Possesses Strong, proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
- Mechanically/Electrically inclined and able to problem solve with little information.
- Product development experience- concept to production release in a production environment.
- Ability to offer their own opinions and commentaries while being flexible and responsive to constructive feedback by managers and peers.
- Application of technical principles/techniques from established practices, as well as a functional knowledge/understanding of electrical engineering processes, techniques, and practices to quickly/accurately perceive the fit, form, function, and manufacturability of design.
- Possesses ability to create and check Schematics/Wiring Diagrams
- SolidWorks and Solidwoks Electrical experience required; AutoCAD experience required;
- In-depth knowledge of ASTM E1851-15, IEEE 299, MIL-STD-285, MIL-STD-188/125, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464.
- Military/ defense experience preferred.
