What is JetZero? Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.  JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. You will be responsible for helping create and integrate the full avionics suite for JetZero's aircraft by translating operator needs for the avionics and FAA certification requirements, working with the avionics supplier to implement those requirements, and going through the testing and integration process.JetZero is a place for people who are ambitious, talented, and humble. This role is based in Long Beach, CA reporting to the Head of Avionics.What You'll DoSystem design and development: architecture definition, supplier selection, system requirementsEnsure that the Avionics system complies with relevant aviation standards (ARP 4754A, ARP 4761) and regulations (Part 25, Issue papers, etc.)Perform supplier oversight during procurement and development phases.Oversee the system integration of the Avionics system and integration within the aircraft with the other systems.Conduct rigorous testing and validation to verify system performanceWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance.  Helpful TraitsYou have a Startup Mindset – We are a small team with big ambitions.
