Job Description:

The Chicago office of Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an associate to support its nationally recognized construction law practice. To be considered, candidates must have at least 2 years of construction law or equivalent complex litigation experience. The group's core practice areas are counseling, dispute resolution (ADR and litigation), and contract drafting and negotiation. Successful candidates will have experience litigating all types of construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes such as mechanic's lien, bond, and stop notice claims, products claims and/or breach of contract claims. Preference will be given to candidates with broad and deep litigation experience, including motion and discovery practice, and with a demonstrated desire to develop expertise in construction law. Excellent academic credentials, strong references and superb written and oral communication skills are required. Prior AmLaw 100 and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred; IL Bar membership is required. To apply, please attach your cover letter, resume, writing sample, and law school transcript. Compensation range: $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
