Our client, leader in custom power augmentation and energy plant solutions is seeking a 1st class painter to join their team. As a 1st class painter, you will be part of the production team supporting the superintendent. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, ability to work well with others and independently and has proven reliability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: 1st Class Painter
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32218 or 32221
Pay Range: $22-$24
Shift: M-F 7-330 or M-T 3pm-1:30am
What's the Job?
- Fluent in the understanding of coating product data sheets and the related SDS sheets, how the requirements will be met and the application of said products in a safe / timely fashion.
- Understands SSPC Standards and how they apply to surface coating documentation to NACE Standards
- Comprehend Mil Spec requirement, measurement policy and maintenance of required reporting documentation.
- Understand how humidity, temperature, surface profile, etc. affects final product and measure / monitor throughout work flow process for reporting documentation.
- Operate and maintain all equipment, paint, ventilation, compressed air, blast and PPE; related to the application of sprayed, rolled and brushed products in the industrial environment. To include but not limited to:
- Various Urethanes
- Industrial Zinc Epoxy's
- Industrial Alkyds
- Inorganic and Organic Zinc-Rich Primers
- Acrylics
- Enamels
- 6+ Years' experience in Industrial Coatings.
- Some vocational technical training is desired.
- Ideal candidates should have NACE and SSPC Industrial Painting Certification
- High school diploma or GED
