Position:Environment, Health, & Safety Manager

Description:The EHSS Manager is responsible for leading the cultural programs across the PVS Technologies including the annual EHSS improvement plan, safety meetings, safety committee, safety training and records, site-specific PPE requirements and hazard recognition and resolution at multiple sites.Site EHSS management systems to comply with agency and corporate EHSS requirements will be developed and maintained.Examples of this activity contain OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, RCMS, IDEM, Responsible CAER, security, industrial hygiene and corrective/preventive action (Dakota software).Facilitating incident investigations will be done by the EHSS Manager consistent with the corporate guidelines.The position will directly issue reports required for air/operating/water/waste and other agency requests.Metrics will be compiled and published by this position.

In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the EHSS Manager is empowered to manage work priority and to engage the proper resources to develop and implement systems, tools, and administrative standards.

  • DHS Appropriations Act of 2007 CFATS, DOT
  • Waste Water and Storm Water Management, SPCC Program
  • Industrial Hygiene Program
  • Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Special and other Waste Management
  • Life Critical Permit Program for LOTO, Confined Space, etc.
  • All other applicable regulatory requirements

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • BS in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • Excellent EHSs standards and Employee Accountability skills
  • 5 years of chemical plant experience with staff management experience in a EHS or EHS role
  • PSM and RMP facility experience
  • PHA Leadership
  • Air, water and waste Permitting
  • Proven ability to lead and influence a positive EHSS culture
  • Strong employee training skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Able to work effectively with competing priorities
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
