$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr The Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our nonprofit organization in empowering neighborhoods across Indianapolis. For over 30 years, INRC has strengthened grassroots leadership and fostered collaboration to create vibrant, engaged communities. As Executive Director, you will serve as the strategic leader and public face of INRC, driving resource development, cultivating meaningful partnerships, and ensuring the organization’s operational and financial sustainability. About the role: The Executive Director is responsible for driving fund development efforts, cultivating new partnerships, sustaining relationships with existing partners, and strategically mobilizing resources to enhance the organization’s capacity and impact. Areas of responsibility include: The Executive Director is the visionary leader of the organization, responsible for overall operations oversight, strategic direction, stakeholder relations, fundraising, fiscal management, and public representation. In this role, you will: Strategic Performance Provide visionary leadership to drive the organization's strategic direction and achieve its mission. Ensure operational plans are developed to support the strategic plan and are regularly monitored for progress and revisions. Foster strong working relationships with the Board of Directors by providing regular updates, reports, and recommendations on key initiatives, financial performance, and organizational developments. Operational Performance Work with program leaders to create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all INRC programs and services, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. Meet or exceed the annual budgetary goals as set by the Board of Directors by securing new funding streams and increasing current revenue sources. Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to ensure financial sustainability, including grant writing and donor cultivation. Effectively manage the organization's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability. Managerial Performance Provide overarching leadership to the organization by sharing vision and strategic guidance, with a focus on developing strong neighborhoods and community partnerships. Directly supervise the Deputy Director and Operations Manager, supporting the Deputy Director in executing staff management responsibilities. Support the Deputy Director in maintaining a culture of accountability through regular staff evaluations and development planning. Stakeholder Relationships Represent and advocate for INRC’s mission through proactive engagement with partners, stakeholders, and media outlets. Establish and nurture connections with community leaders, funders, and local stakeholders. Facilitate informational meetings and presentations with current and prospective stakeholders. Design and implement an annual stakeholder engagement strategy that actively includes member and community feedback. Competencies that would support success: Fund Development and Financial Expertise: Proven ability to secure funding through grant writing and fundraising efforts. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively. Asset-Focused and Community Engagement Experience: A deep commitment to asset-based community development principles. Collaborative, People-Centered Approach: Ability to foster a supportive and empowering work environment. Strategic and Adaptive Leadership: Experience in a senior leadership role. Educational and Professional Background: Relevant experience in neighborhood or community development.
