Friendship Public Charter School operates a dynamic network of college-preparatory charter schools headquartered in Washington, DC. We serve more than 4,800 preschool through 12th-grade students and support a growing network of alumni as they complete college. Responsibilities

ENROLLMENT

Manage the compliance of enrollment (i.e. collection of residency documentation, support families with registration and update registration system accordingly);

Ensure all student records in the system contain complete and accurate information required for reporting;

Update student information during the enrollment period and periodically as changes occur;

Withdraw students that transfer, no-show, drop-out, or are expelled from the school;

Coordinate with the appropriate school personnel to ensure all special program data is up to date;

Facilitate the transfer of student information between schools;

Collaborate with Enrollment team to support enrollment initiatives for the campus;

REPORTING

Gather, input, and verify data necessary for internal and external reports;

Prepare customized reports for site-based needs and assist school level staff with generating reports;

Ensure timely submission of all reports extracted from the student information system;

ATTENDANCE AND DISCIPLINE

Work with building level administrators to ensure all attendance and discipline data is accurately recorded;

Coordinate with the appropriate school personnel to ensure all truancy is coded appropriately;

Verify teachers are inputting class attendance daily;

Reconcile daily tardy log, excuses, and discipline to daily attendance;

Maintain all attendance records in a central location within the school building;

Audit the school’s discipline and attendance records regularly to ensure integrity of the data;

SCHEDULING AND GRADE REPORTING

Input the master schedule and schedule students into required courses;

Ensure class rosters are always up to date;

Coordinate each grade reporting cycle by ensuring all grades are completed within the specified time;

OTHER DUTIES

Conduct training for teachers and all other staff to ensure competency in the use of the program;

Coordinate user security within the student information system;

Attend conferences and classes to develop and maintain knowledge of database management;

Maintain and manage systems (PowerSchool, Infosnap, SLED, and MySchoolDC);

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma required;

Associate degree preferred;

Two years of customer-service work experience;

At least two years of using a school student information system or an equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
