Senior Financial Analyst

Management Resources has partnered with a client for a Senior Financial Analyst for a contract role. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and demonstrate exceptional skills in accounting, finance, and data analysis. This role involves preparing, analyzing, and delivering financial reports while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities of Senior Financial Analyst

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory financial statements and regulatory filings in compliance with NAIC and state insurance requirements.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and refine financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and internal financial policies, conducting audits and reviews as needed.
• Partner with various departments such as Actuarial, Underwriting, and Operations to gather data and ensure alignment on financial strategies.
• Track key financial and operational metrics to evaluate business health and profitability.

Skills/Qualifications of Senior Financial Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Proven expertise in STAT Reporting and understanding of regulatory requirements for insurance companies.
• Proficient in financial reporting tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with database tools and financial modeling software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
