Position Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will perform difficult and complex technical duties related to the requisitioning of equipment and supplies in accordance with established polices and regulations. The ideal candidate will research, evaluate, and requisition equipment and supplies based on price, service, quality and warranty to meet the needs of the department or program to which assigned. This position reports to the Equipment/Infra Procurement Manager.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities with departments to ensure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low cost consistency
- Maintain Supplier Performance Rating System in MRP system and prepare weekly/monthly reports including the performance, inventory, and issues of each group of the purchasing team and report them to Purchasing Manager, CPO, and CEO
- Study market trends and work with necessary departments to minimize costs and maximize efficiency of purchasing function
- Responsible for equipment supplier development, the standardization of equipment, supply chain layout optimization, the development and implementation of equipment procurement strategies
- Responsible for procurement contract and order processing, including but not limited to supplier sourcing, vetting, and price negotiations as well as resolving any discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Document and maintain necessary records and files including KPI data; may work with internal and external shareholders to communicate necessary information
- Perform other position related duties as assigned
Basic:
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in buyer or procurement role
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with state/local regulations and requirements
- Strong presentation skills to clearly articulate: business problems, analytical approaches, potential solutions & recommendations
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface across all levels of the organization
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Bilingual English / Korean
- Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
- Critical thinking and an analytical mindset

- Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
