Overview
The 1916 Company is looking to add to our team in the Pikesville MD, location. The accounting department is looking for a staff accountant to handle the day to day accounting, play an integral role in the month-end close process, and assist our Accounts Payable team. The successful candidate must have excellent personal communication skills, enjoy working as a team member in an exclusive luxury environment, a base knowledge of luxury goods (including jewelry and watches), and the technical skills to operate our internal systems. The 1916 Company is looking to add a driven professional who aims to succeed in a luxury environment while delivering the best experience to our clientele.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily bank reconciliations Prepare and process journal entries to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely Perform expense analyses and accruals Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations Respond to information requests and assist with audits Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Assist Accounts Payable function Assist with the adherence of internal controls Skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required At least two years' experience in accounting or related field Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong mathematical and problem solving skills Must be detail oriented Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously Excellent organizational and communication skills
