Workers Compensation Trial Attorney

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Workers' Compensation Trial Attorney with 3-5 years of experience litigating Workers’ Compensation cases. The ideal candidate will manage a full caseload of Workers' Compensation cases, handling matters from beginning to end, including opening new files, creating litigation plans, conducting depositions, trying cases, and maintaining exceptional client contact.

Duties:

1. Independently manage own caseload involving Workers' Compensation matters
2. Represent clients in a wide range of litigation claims
3. Regularly handle court appearances, conduct depositions, and try cases
4. Secure TTD benefits, PPD benefits, and medical treatment for plaintiffs
5. Negotiate with Insurance Adjusters and Opposing Counsel to obtain maximum case values for clients
6. Maintain regular and comprehensive communication with clients

Requirements:

1. Experience with Workers' Compensation matters
2. Superior written and oral communication skills
3. Strong analytical skills
4. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
5. Dual licenses in Wisconsin, Missouri, and/or Indiana are a plus

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admitted to practice in the State of Illinois

Experience:

3-5 years of experience litigating Workers’ Compensation cases
