SUMMARY: The Senior Human Resources Safety Manager will report to the Senior Director of Manufacturing and will be responsible for overseeing the Human Resources department and leading all Safety initiatives for the Fairfield Plant. The Senior Human Resources Safety Manager will also be a resource for all plants with regards to HR and safety. This includes but is not limited to hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategic Thinking and Goal Development
- Partners with the manufacturing team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Works closely with VP of HR on all HR/safety related matters.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Monitor and enforce the Bigelow Safety and Health policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervises the Human Resources Safety Manager in the Plant.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in conjunction with managers and supervisors in the Plant.
- Leads and manages all safety initiatives.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.

- Human Resources Safety Manager
- A minimum of five years of human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in food/beverage industry or consumer products.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
- 5% (Domestic)
