We are looking for someone talented in performing advanced business and financial data analytics to support insurance fee negotiation and to maximize values for Heartland supported dentists.
To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work in a team with other Payor Analytics Specialists, Payor Relationship Managers, and Payor Supporters, reporting to the
Payor, Senior Manager.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work in a team with other Payor Analytics Specialists, Payor Relationship Managers, and Payor Supporters, reporting to the

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Provide business analytics for insurance network, fees, and contract negotiation
- Conduct benchmarks and competitive analysis of payer fee schedules across different payers
- Track & analyze external dental price trends at national and state levels
- Perform overall Payer revenue analysis on volume, price, share and growth trends, etc.
- Coordinate, conduct and document financial analysis projects and financial reporting, presenting results and recommendations to management
- Respond to requests for data analytics to supported offices/operations
- Translate business data into clear business focused deliverables for decision makers
- Define and recommend best practices for applying data and analytics solutions to resolve problems
Minimum Requirements:
- Must reside within driving distance from: St. Louis, MO, Indianapolis, Indiana or Effingham, IL.
- Bachelor's degree in Math/Science/Engineering/Business or related field with 3+ years of heavy SQL or Python or master's degree with 1+years practical work experience (outside of academics).
- Independent critical thinking leading to the development of more effective approaches
- Communication Skills: highly skilled in written and verbal communication of complex ideas and analytic findings, including presentation materials
- High level of proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI
- Attention to Detail: awareness of data integrity, vigilance in the quality and precision of analysis supporting high-quality conclusions
- Collaboration Skills: extensive experience in working with internal and external clients
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
- History of automation and process improvement
- High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
- Strong work ethic
Desirable Qualifications:
- Healthcare, dental industry or insurance experience
- Familiarity with SAP Hana/SAC
- Proficiency with R for data manipulation and statistical analysis
- Expertise in data visualization
- Master's Degree in Math/Statistics/Data Science/Data Engineering/Computer Science/Business
- Experience with statistical methods such as linear regression, time series, etc., and machine learning
