Job Overview
A prominent law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Trial Attorney specializing in personal injury cases. This role is ideal for a highly motivated legal professional with a proven record in civil jury trials and a commitment to excellence in client representation. The attorney will handle cases from inception to settlement or trial, with significant autonomy and support to achieve optimal results.
Duties
- Manage a high-volume caseload involving all phases of personal injury litigation.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations to assess liability and damages.
- Draft and file legal documents, including motions, discovery responses, and trial briefs.
- Prepare for and serve as the first chair in civil jury trials.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
- Provide exceptional service and maintain clear, consistent communication with clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of personal injury litigation experience, with an emphasis on trial work.
- Successful completion of at least 10 civil jury trials to verdict.
- Active Bar license and in good standing in California.
- Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with high attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively with support staff and legal teams.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
Certifications
- Must hold a current license to practice law in California.
