JOB SUMMARY: Oversee and manage all aspects of buildings, grounds and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe, clean and fully operational environment. This includes coordinating and supervising maintenance employees, ensuring timely upkeep and repairs of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems and developing and implementing maintenance schedules for preventative and routine tasks. Provide additional support for other maintenance needs and perform duties as assigned. Demonstrate the agency's values in the performance of job duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise and assign tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring work quality and completeness.
  • Manage cleaning procedures, general upkeep across all areas and maintenance and repair of buildings, fixtures, grounds, lighting and shop equipment.
  • Oversee inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance of facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, to ensure proper working order, safety and compliance.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly, troubleshoot issues and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
  • Coordinate vendor deliveries, maintain inventory, and ensure timely restocking of essential supplies and materials.
  • Document inspections, repairs and any issues encountered, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain sidewalks, entrances, parking lots and driveways as necessary and perform snow removal during inclement weather.
  • Perform tree trimming and landscaping tasks, including litter cleanup, mowing, edging, weeding, mulching and plant and shrubbery maintenance.
  • Maintain, repair and replace locks, handles and hinges, and perform key cutting and lock core pinning.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance of mechanical equipment for various buildings.
  • Complete monthly fire extinguisher and emergency lighting checks to ensure safety compliance.
  • Perform miscellaneous maintenance tasks, including painting, scraping, sanding, caulking and sheetrock and plaster repairs as needed or directed.
  • Perform any welding needed in shop.
  • Operate skid steer and forklift as needed.
  • Attend and complete training as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and criminal records check.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively and perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor that requires repetitive movement and tasks that may require some lifting.
  • General proficiency in using equipment and tools related to duties.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
