Litigation Associate Attorney (General Liability/Professional Liability Defense)
We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join a reputable California-based law firm specializing in general liability and professional liability cases. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic downtown Los Angeles office, representing a diverse range of professional clients, including design and miscellaneous professionals.
The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 1 to 2 days per week in the office, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to determine solutions to legal issues and establish effective courses of action.
- Conduct legal research, attend court hearings, and support senior attorneys in providing legal advice.
- Draft contracts, pleadings, briefs, motions, affidavits, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure effective communication with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients.
- Represent clients in litigation and provide counsel on risk management and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in discovery, law and motion practice, and litigation involving professional liability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Compensation: $145,000-$190,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
