Job Summary
Nailor Industries of Texas, Inc. is seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the organization’s digital transformation, drive strategic innovation, and create a secure, scalable IT infrastructure that aligns with our growth trajectory. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CIO will oversee the modernization of legacy systems, champion automation and artificial intelligence, and implement advanced data analytics to foster data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role demands a balance of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of emerging technologies to propel Nailor Industries of Texas, Inc. into the next phase of innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that aligns with the Company’s long-term business goals, enhancing operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and competitive positioning.
- Partner with executive leadership to prioritize technology investments, ensuring alignment with the Company’s operational, financial, and growth objectives.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies to transform manufacturing processes, drive innovation, and enhance productivity across all facilities.
- Lead initiatives to integrate automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) into core operations to elevate efficiency and reduce costs.
Team Leadership and Development
- Build and nurture a high-performing IT team by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Evaluate current IT organizational structure and ensure the right talent, roles, and resources are in place to meet strategic objectives.
- Provide mentorship and leadership development for current and future IT staff, fostering cross-functional relationships with manufacturing, finance, and other departments.
- Lead IT teams across multiple locations, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution across all Nailor facilities.
Operational Oversight & IT Infrastructure Modernization
- Oversee the migration from legacy IT systems to modern, scalable solutions that meet the evolving demands of the business.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and other critical business systems.
- Enable smart manufacturing by integrating Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to provide real-time data insights into operations, efficiency, and productivity.
- Optimize and standardize IT infrastructure to improve system reliability, scalability, and compatibility across all departments.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Architect and execute a robust cybersecurity framework to safeguard company data, intellectual property, and systems against evolving threats.
- Ensure compliance with all industry standards, including ISO, OSHA, GDPR, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and protect operations during unforeseen events.
Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Champion the adoption of data-driven decision-making by deploying advanced analytics platforms to enhance insights into production, supply chain, and market trends.
- Establish a unified data governance strategy to ensure consistency, accuracy, and security of information across the organization.
- Implement IoT technologies to enable real-time monitoring of manufacturing processes and performance metrics, such as utilization, efficiency, and machine hours.
- Leverage data analytics for predictive modeling and forecasting, empowering all departments with actionable insights.
Budget and Vendor Management
- Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic goals while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Build strong partnerships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment with Nailor Industries' technological vision.
- Provide clear communication and updates to executive leadership regarding IT performance, strategic progress, and budgetary impacts.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10–15 years of senior IT leadership experience, with a proven track record of transforming legacy systems and implementing modern technologies in a manufacturing environment.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity programs.
- Innovation Leadership: Experience in deploying advanced technologies, including AI, robotics, IoT, and predictive analytics, to drive operational improvements.
- Operational Excellence: Expertise in IT infrastructure upgrades, ERP and MRP implementations, and process automation.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment across all business units.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technological concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, OSHA, and GDPR.
