D’Addario is recruiting a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the company’s global information technology (IT) function, driving digital transformation and leveraging technology to deliver business value. The CIO owns the establishment, execution, and evolution of the enterprise-wide IT and digital strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals and objectives.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the CIO provides strategic guidance, contributing to enterprise-wide business strategies. The ideal candidate brings a forward-thinking mindset, focused on applying emerging technologies to transform business models, optimize operations, and enhance customer experiences across channels and markets.
The CIO will play a key role in fostering digital innovation and agility while ensuring operational excellence, cybersecurity, and cost optimization. This leader will partner with Sales, Marketing, and other functional areas to develop world-class digital marketing and e-commerce capabilities by managing and leading D’Addario’s IT department consisting of 14 mature and well-established professionals who work closely with several local and offshore technical teams.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Leadership: Develop a global IT and digital strategy aligned with D’Addario’s business objectives. Drive technology adoption to create competitive advantage through innovation, security, and operational efficiency.
- Business Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team and other key stakeholders, enabling cost-effective, scalable, and agile IT services. Develop strong partnerships across departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Management.
- Digital Transformation: Lead the development of customer-centric and employee-facing digital platforms such as ERP, WMS, CRM, e-commerce (B2B/B2C), and CMS, leveraging modern technologies to optimize customer engagement and business operations.
- Technology Roadmap: Identify and integrate new technologies, such as AI and ML, ensuring they align with business priorities. Develop a future-proof roadmap to keep D’Addario at the forefront of technology.
- Cloud and Agile Practices: Promote the adoption of cloud computing, DevOps, and Agile methodologies to accelerate delivery cycles and enhance IT’s responsiveness to business needs.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Build and maintain a robust cybersecurity program to protect the enterprise against evolving threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and data privacy standards.
- Data and Analytics Excellence: Champion data-driven decision-making by implementing advanced analytics, governance frameworks, and business intelligence tools. Utilize predictive analytics and AI to unlock insights for strategic growth.
- IT Governance and Vendor Management: Develop policies, processes, and KPIs to govern IT performance. Manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring optimal sourcing and value from partnerships.
- Employee Engagement and Workforce Development: Foster a digital workplace culture that empowers employees to excel with modern tools and work environments. Lead workforce development initiatives to build a highly skilled, engaged, and innovative IT team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, TOGAF, ITIL) are a plus
- 15+ years of experience in IT and digital leadership.
- 7+ years in senior leadership roles, such as CIO, CTO, or VP of IT, with proven success in driving digital transformation.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing enterprise-wide initiatives in complex environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital platforms (ERP, WMS, CRM, PIM, DAM, CMS), analytics, e-commerce, and customer engagement technologies.
- Cybersecurity expertise.
- Deep understanding of business processes, customer-facing platforms, and how to leverage technology for competitive advantage.
- Strong track record of driving innovation through emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, cloud platforms, and blockchain.
- Expertise in leading cultural and operational change initiatives.
- Ability to develop and communicate an inspiring IT vision that aligns with business goals and drives employee engagement.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Expertise in IT budget planning and financial management, balancing innovation with operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate technology contracts for optimal value.
This is a hybrid role and will require the candidate to work onsite in the Farmingdale, Long Island Headquarters office three days a week.

The base salary range for this role would be commensurate with experience: $275-300k per year.
