Key Duties
- Handle complex commercial litigation cases, from pre-trial motions to trial preparation and presentation.
- Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients in various industries.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with precision and clarity.
- Engage in research and writing to support litigation strategies and case development.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials to manage case progress and resolve issues.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute litigation strategies.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and professionally represent the firm.
Position Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on complex legal matters.
- Previous judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on legal research and writing.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- CA Bar membership is preferred, but out-of-state candidates eligible for California licensure will also be considered.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Exceptional academic credentials, including Law Review or similar honors, are preferred.
Certifications
- Admitted to the State Bar of California, or eligible for admission.
