JOB SUMMARY The Automated Assembly Operator (AAO) will be an integral part of driving the business forward. Under the guidance and direction of the Production Supervisor, the AAO is responsible for automated assembly machine production flow, including machine set up and operation, material handling, Epicor and process paperwork, and the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment. The AAO position is a part of a team that performs assembly duties according to written or oral work instructions. The position includes manual support to production activities related to assembly of products, material transactions, inspection, and packaging of finished goods. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance inspections; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Physical Requirements Workers are required to lift packages up to 50 pounds. Work may require bending or stooping. Employees are required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day. Standing/Walking 8+ hours per day. Employee required to climb step stools/small ladders. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience 1-year related work experience preferred Skills Basic Computer Skills, i.e. data entry, general knowledge. Operate basic hand tools, i.e. air drivers, wrenches etc. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Strong reading and math skills. Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
