Our client specializes in large-scale projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in Miami, FL. Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager will oversee complex heavy civil construction projects , ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through project completion. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards and timely delivery of projects for FDOT. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management of large-scale FDOT projects , ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. Oversee pre-construction planning, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress, implementing strategies to address challenges and ensure goals are met. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards on all projects. Foster strong relationships with FDOT representatives and other key stakeholders. Prepare and present project updates, financial reports, and performance metrics to leadership. Mentor and develop project management team members. Qualifications: 10 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects with a general or prime contractor. Proven experience on large FDOT projects (required). Strong understanding of heavy civil construction practices, FDOT specifications, and compliance requirements. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage large, diverse teams. Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools.
