A law firm seeks a skilled Trial Lawyer with 2 to 5 years of experience in personal injury law to join its team in Beverly Hills, CA. This position offers an opportunity to manage and litigate personal injury cases from pre-litigation through to jury trials. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing an exceptional client experience and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Duties:
- Draft Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and discovery documents.
- Discovery and Motion Practice: Draft meet and confer letters, discovery motions, and respond to discovery requests.
- Court Hearings: Argue motions and opposition hearings, both remotely and in court.
- Depositions: Take and defend depositions, gathering essential information for case preparation.
- Trial Participation: Actively participate in trials at both the State and Federal levels, contributing to case strategy and courtroom presentations.
- Mediation: Draft mediation briefs and participate in mediation sessions to facilitate case resolution.
- Client Communication: Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure they are informed and involved in the progress of their case.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of personal injury experience.
- Proven experience with written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Strong ability to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Must be currently licensed to practice law in California.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active license to practice law in California.
Skills:
- Excellent legal writing and research skills.
- Strong courtroom presentation and oral advocacy abilities.
- Experience managing personal injury cases from initiation through trial.
