A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Corporate Special Counsel to join its highly regarded Corporate Practice. This transactional attorney will handle a wide range of corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, financing, and other complex business transactions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment with significant responsibility.
Duties:
- Handle corporate legal matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, and corporate governance.
- Lead and manage various business transactions with a high degree of autonomy.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and legal documents related to corporate transactions.
- Advise clients on corporate governance and other business-related legal issues.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in corporate law, including corporate governance.
- Strong transactional background with the ability to handle a variety of corporate matters.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client management.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Bar membership or eligibility to waive in.
Skills:
- Expertise in corporate law, including business transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
