We are seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead our organization's comprehensive security program and oversee our classified information systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic approach to security management, combining expertise in personnel security, cybersecurity, and compliance with classified contract requirements.


Required Qualifications:
  1. 7+ years of experience as an FSO or Deputy FSO
  2. Ability to obtain and maintain higher clearances
  3. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
  4. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  5. Current FSO certification from DCSA Center for Development of Security Excellence
  6. Master's degree preferred in related field
  7. US Citizen

Technical Expertise Required:
  1. Advanced proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper–V)
  2. Experience with classified information systems on both Windows and Linux platforms
  3. Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and penetration testing methodologies
  4. Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring solutions
  5. Knowledge of cloud security architecture (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
  6. Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices

Key Responsibilities: Security Program Leadership
  1. Develop and manage annual security budget
  2. Drive strategic security initiatives aligned with business objectives
  3. Lead a team of security professionals and coordinate with cross–functional teams
  4. Maintain facility clearance and oversee all aspects of classified contracts
  5. Serve as the primary liaison with DCSA, Intelligence Community agencies, and other government entities
Compliance and Risk Management
  1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  2. Develop and maintain Security Management Plans
  3. Ensure compliance with NISPOM, CMMC, and relevant federal security requirements
  4. Maintain current knowledge of evolving security regulations and requirements
  5. Manage insider threat program in accordance with NISPOM requirements
  6. Oversee security audits and inspections
Personnel Security Management
  1. Coordinate with HR on security aspects of hiring and termination processes
  2. Develop and conduct sophisticated security education programs
  3. Implement continuous evaluation programs
  4. Manage Special Access Programs (SAP) when applicable
  5. Oversee personnel security clearance processing and maintenance
Information Systems Security
  1. Direct cyber threat intelligence programs
  2. Direct the implementation of classified information systems
  3. Implement Zero Trust Architecture principles
  4. Manage Configuration Management programs
  5. Oversee Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes
  6. Oversee security incident response and recovery procedures
Advanced Technical Skills
  1. Proficiency in:
  2. Access control systems (PACS)
  3. Classified network architecture and security
  4. Incident response platforms
  5. PKI and encryption technologies
  6. Security automation tools
  7. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
Required Certifications
  1. CISSP
  2. FSO Certification
  3. One or more of the following preferred:
  4. CASP+
  5. CCSP
  6. CEH
  7. CISM
  8. CompTIA Security+

Leadership Competencies
  1. Demonstrated experience leading security teams
  2. Strong executive presence and communication skills
  3. Experience briefing senior management and government officials
  4. Strategic planning and budget management expertise
  5. Crisis management and decision–making abilities

Additional Requirements
  1. Must live locally or relocate to Minneapolis area within 90 days of hire
  2. Available for domestic travel, as needed
  3. On–call availability for security incidents
  4. Ability to obtain and maintain special access programs (SAP) clearances
