Vice President, Market Access

The Vice President of Market Access will lead the development and execution of Rezolute’s market access strategy to ensure patient access to the company’s therapies. This senior role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in pricing, reimbursement, health economics, and payer relations within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align market access strategies with overall business objectives and drive the successful commercialization of Rezolute’s products. The Vice President, Market Access is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing team of experienced access & reimbursement leaders to support our field-based organization and our health care providers, accounts and patients as appropriate. This role will require a strategic vision to drive the success of our reimbursement team, as well as the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  1. The Vice President of Market Access has enterprise level responsibility for providing strategic and operational leadership in the development, implementation and execution of a comprehensive market access strategy, including pricing, reimbursement and payer engagement, to support the launch and lifecycle management of Rezolute’s products.
  2. Develop a comprehensive global market access strategy tailored for rare diseases, considering regional variations in regulations, pricing, and reimbursement for development and commercial products.
  3. Responsible for constructing the value platform and supporting materials to ensure accurate product information, coverage policy and positioning.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with all payers and their partners to secure favorable coverage and reimbursement terms in order to drive revenue growth and market access across all commercialized products.
  5. Lead the development and execution of distribution and channel strategies to ensure timely, compliant and efficient delivery of products to customers and patients.
  6. Develop a coding strategy to further optimize revenue for the Company’s first product for 2026 and beyond.
  7. Lead the execution of market access initiatives, including the development of market access tools, reimbursement support programs and payer marketing materials.
  8. Ensure all market access activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including pricing and reimbursement policies.
  9. Build, mentor and lead a high-performing market access team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence.
  10. Educate internal and external stakeholders on market access challenges and opportunities, providing strategic insights to guide decision-making.
  11. Oversee payer contracting to ensure favorable terms and conditions, maximize reimbursement rates, and minimize administrative burdens.
  12. Lead all aspects of US 3PL, SPP and Specialty Distributor (SD) network design, and oversee account and program management, performance and enhancement, patient reimbursement support, inventory management, billing and contracting.
  13. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, finance, legal, and operations teams, to align payer strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  14. Provide subject matter expertise including competitive and product coverage, access intelligence, healthcare reform, landscape trends, and pull-through initiatives.
  15. Ensure that the organization adheres to payer requirements, contracts, and guidelines.
  16. Collaborate with the finance team to monitor payer contract compliance, track revenue performance, and identify potential financial risks or opportunities.
  17. Analyze payer data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to optimize reimbursement rates and claims processing efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance or another related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) is strongly preferred.
  2. A minimum of 15 years of experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or related roles within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 7 years in a leadership position.
  3. Extensive knowledge of U.S. and global market access environments, including payer systems, pricing strategies, and reimbursement processes.
  4. Experience developing a global market access strategy tailored for rare diseases, considering regional variations in regulations, pricing, and reimbursement for development and commercial products.
  5. Proven experience in launching and securing market access for specialty and rare disease therapies.
  6. Strong understanding of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and its application in market access strategies.
  7. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  9. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  11. Proficiency in data analysis and the use of market access tools and technologies.

Rezolute (RZLT) currently anticipates the base salary for the Vice President, Market Access role could range from $335,000 to $365,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s geographical location and their qualifications for the role, including education and experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan (depending, in part, on company and individual performance and at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis). The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on current market survey data and the qualifications, education, experience and geographical location of the selected candidate.
