Description

Position Summary: To assemble and install components in accordance with blueprints, while using manual or hand powered tools to successfully assemble all equipment

Essential Duties:

Assemble and Install

  1. Assemble and install components in accordance with blueprints
  2. Understand, read and interpret blueprints Loctite/torque specs assembly
  3. Ability to safely use manual or hand power tools to successfully assemble equipment
Perform Process Inspections/Checklists
  1. Fit
  2. Form
  3. Function
Maintain a Clean Work Environment
  1. Minimize Clutter
  2. Trip hazards are cleaned up
  3. Ground is dry and free of scrap and metal particles
Keep Workstations/Tools Clean and Organized in a Lean 5S Program
  1. Sort - Separating tools, parts and instructions
  2. Set In Order - Organizing tools, parts and instructions neatly; identify for ease of use
  3. Shine - Clean up work area with chemical products and sweeping
  4. Standardize - Regular cleaning and maintenance
  5. Sustain - Make this process habitual and a part of everyday
Maintain A Good Attendance Record
  1. Following the schedule provided by the supervisor
  2. Have good communication with supervisor regarding planned time off and unplanned time off
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
  1. Industry experience is preferred
  2. Strong Mechanical Aptitude is necessary
  3. Ability to work in a team environment
  4. Ability to operate hand jack/pallet truck etc.
  5. Ability to operate cranes, jib cranes and hoists
Physical Demands:
  1. Must be able to remain in a standing position for most of the time
  2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  3. Must be able to work in a production environment
  4. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
Mental Demands:
  1. Ability to work at a steady pace
  2. Ability to use measuring tools and calibration requirements
  3. Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Working Conditions:
  1. Adheres to the time and attendance requirements as established by the department supervisor.
  2. Conditions will vary from office to production environments
  3. Overtime as required and/or needed


Salary Description

$20 - $25 / hour based on experience
