A law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Seattle, WA. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on intellectual property and patent issues.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
- Represent clients in court, hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions.
- Advise clients on intellectual property strategies and litigation matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and development.
- Stay current with changes in intellectual property law and related regulations.
- Perform due diligence for intellectual property transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
- Engage in client development activities, including meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
- Admission to the State Bar.
- 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Superior writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Education:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant technical fields such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar.
