ABOUT LIFEWORKS:
LifeWorks was created in 1998 through the merger of Pathways Community Counseling, Child & Family Service, Teenage Parent Council of Austin, and Youth Options to establish a continuum of support for youth and families experiencing crisis. Every year, LifeWorks advocates for more than 2,500 youth and families, many of whom are facing life’s most difficult challenges, including homelessness, trauma, and abuse. They have 3 core goals for the Austin community’s youth: providing shelter and permanent housing to more than 150 youth on any given night, providing education and workforce programming, and providing office and community-based counseling and mental health services to address conflict and trauma so that youth and families can move forward.

LifeWorks has more than 50 years of experience working with homeless youth, youth aging out of foster care, and young parents. LifeWorks provides 15 programs under the categories of Housing, Counseling, and Education/Workforce. Their service philosophy is strengths-based and client-centered.
