Two Litigation Associate - Melville, NY and New York, NY (2 to 7 Years experienc

Prominent law firm seeks 2 associates to join our defense teams in our downtown New York City and Melville, NY offices.

The Litigation Associate will be responsible for all aspects of case handling including representing clients in court hearings, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing legal motions and client reports, conducting and participating in depositions, participating in trial preparation and performing various other litigation-related tasks as required. The associate will work their way toward managing client relationships andserving as second chair at trial.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New York
• 2-7 years of litigation experience
• Experience with general liability insurance preferred
• Experience with other insurance defense including asbestos, toxic torts, construction, construction defect, NY labor law, and premise liability, a plus
• Strong communication, writing, and research skills
