About the Job
The Contracts Counsel will be primarily responsible for advising the Company on various legal and corporate governance matters. Responsibilities include managing litigation, creating and implementing corporate policies, and drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts.
In This Role, You Will:
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to contract management.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal standards.
- Provide advice on regulatory compliance.
- Perform legal research and provide analysis on legal strategies.
- Assist in management of litigation and pre-litigation matters.
- Analyze litigation trends and keep apprised of current legislation.
- Provide guidance on contract disputes.
- Conduct training sessions for Company personnel on contract best practices.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Desired
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- A member in good standing of the NC state bar or another state bar with ability to seek admission in NC.
- 5-10 years of experience in corporate law.
- Strong experience with a variety of contracts.
- Outstanding legal research, writing, communication, and contract drafting capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous experience in the logistics and transportation industry preferred.
- Expertise in CLM systems required.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC.
