Travel Medical Technologist in Santa Fe, NM

Job Title: Medical Technologist / Technician. Location: Santa Fe, NM Duration: 6 to 12 Months Start Date: January 2025 Shift Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday Friday, 40 hours/ week) Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or associate's degree in medical technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science or a primary science (i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.) Experience: must have a minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory experience as a generalist medical technologist License: Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist, or as a Clinical Lab Scientist by the appropriate agency (ASCP, AMT, AAB). Certification: BLS Required Educational copy Responsibilities Provide lab testing, equipment maintenance, and perform procedures in Chemistry, Microbiology, Urinalysis, Coagulations, and Phlebotomy. Conduct phlebotomy for all age groups using appropriate techniques (finger sticks, heel sticks, venipuncture). Collect specimens following established protocols and ensure quality control. Maintain high standards of competence and work independently after completing required competencies. Assures preparation of tests for all patients, including performing the test calibrations and calibration verification studies as needed. Checks specimens, prepares reagents, and maintains adequate supplies. Electronically enters, or writes clinical reports and descriptions of laboratory care.
