Job Title: Maternal Child Health (MCH) Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery - Critical Need Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Labor and Delivery License: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Job Description: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients and their families. - Monitor the health and condition of mothers and babies during labor and delivery. - Administer necessary medications and interventions as required. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment. - Document patient care activities accurately and timely. - Provide education and support to mothers before, during, and after delivery. - Stay current with best practices and advancements in maternal and child health. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field. - Over five years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery. - One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years. - Experience in managing high-risk obstetric cases.
