Travel Surg Tech - $1,628 per week in Dickinson, ND

Job Title: Surgical Tech Job Specialty: OR Tech (Operating Room) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x9s, Monday to Thursday (subject to change) 0600-1530 or 0700-1630 with call (minimum 7 days in 6-week period) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required to submit Certifications: BLS, UAP (CST or NCCT preferred) Must-Have: Familiarity with total joints and cesarean sections. Experience with MAKO robot and ortho is a plus. Job Description: - The position involves working in the Operating Room as a Surgical Tech. - No direct clinical involvement required. - The department includes 6 OR suites and 1 GI suite. - Common cases include procedures for Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Obstetrics. Specific areas: - Ortho: Total Joints, ORIF, Arthroscopy - OB/GYN: Cesarean Section, LAVH, D&C, Diagnostic Laparoscopy - General: Lap Appy, Lap Chole, Ex Lap - Knowledge of equipment such as the C-arm, Mako robot, ligasure, and harmonic scalpel is beneficial. - The team practice/team scheduling model is followed, allowing for some self-scheduling. - Weeknight on-call requirements include 1-2 shifts per week, from the end of the shift until 0700 the next day. - Weekend on-call requirements include 1 weekend per month from Friday 0700 to Monday 0700. - Holiday call is required. - The position typically does not require floating unless previously trained in other areas. - Scrubs/dress code: Provided by the employer. - Orientation involves 1-2 unit/department-specific shifts. - Candidates must comply with a 50-mile radius rule. - Requests for time off need to be submitted upfront with 7 or fewer days approved in the 13-week contract duration. Additional requests will not be approved after submission. - Familiarity with the Meditech charting system is preferable. - This position is located in an Acute Care Setting. - No requirement for a BSN.
