Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Job Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM; weekends required Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Radiologic Technologist issued by the Radiology Tech licensure in combination with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certifications: BLS Provider, ACLS, Cardiographic Tech from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) prior to hire date or job transfer date Must-Have: High school diploma with 1-2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience Job Description: - Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. - Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. - Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. - Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity. - Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. - Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. - Perform specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. - Assist the Radiologist/PA in procedures. - Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Preferred Qualifications: - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
