Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Care Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Competency in care/treatment of all ages; effective equipment skills; ability to communicate effectively and prioritize daily duties License: Graduate of an accredited and approved program for respiratory care with relevant state licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred), NRP (preferred) Must-Have: Excellent patient assessment skills, ability to work with diverse cultures, honesty, and integrity Job Description: - Manage ventilators and provide nebulizer treatments - Conduct EKGs, and manage BiPAP/CPAP devices - Perform bedside spirometry - Use Dräger ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, MicroNebs, Mortara EKG carts - Utilize computerized charting and the Pyxis system - Perform duties across multiple departments including Emergency, ICU, Med Surg, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Family Care areas - Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays - Participate in basic orientation including hospital/floor layouts, equipment storage areas, patient care areas, and policy reviews - Wear gray scrubs as part of the dress code This position requires three twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend. Candidates not licensed in-state must be willing to obtain licensure. Local candidates are welcome.
