Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - MED/Surg skills - Telemetry-remote monitoring - Use of Rapid Response Team - IV insulin protocols - Colostomy care - Feeding tube care & management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Blood Product Administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral Line Care/Management - Phlebotomy - PICC line management - Starting IVs - Heparin - PCA - Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac - CPAP/BiPAP - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Nasal Cannula - Non-invasive airway management - Oral Suctioning - Oxygen face masks - Portable Oxygen tank - Isolation Precautions - Wound Care/Wound Vac Job Description: - Accepts first-time travelers - Locals accepted with rate difference - Supports travel rate for local travelers with start date concerns - No RTO (requested time off) adjustments allowed after booking - Call-offs or additional RTO could lead to cancellation. - Contracts available up to March 15, 2025 - Assigned to work during significant events such as storms or disasters - Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur - Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required - 12 to 16 weekend shifts per contract - Patient diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fracture - Isolation area for COVID patients - Multi-level care includes stepdown (handled by stepdown staff) - Unit uses Pyxis, Epic, SBAR systems - Scheduling is based on unit needs - Requires 24 hours of unit orientation and attendance in classes during the hospital orientation week one - Navy/White scrubs required - Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions only.
