Job Title: Maternal Child Health Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Critical Care Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 hours, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: - Minimum of 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience within the last 3 years - Preferred: Seven years of recent experience in Level III Neonatal Intensive Care within the last ten years License: Registered Nurse License (in the applicable state of care) Certifications: - Basic Life Support - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program Must-Have: ACLS Certification, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care experience, and completion of an accredited nursing program Job Description: - Provide direct and individualized care to critically ill newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and assess individualized care plans for neonatal patients - Monitor and adjust medical equipment as necessary, ensuring optimal patient care and comfort - Educate and support families during the patient's NICU stay, addressing questions and concerns - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation according to organizational standards - Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated with current neonatal care practices - Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
